The Expression of Interest to host a future GEC is open! Send your application by June 30, 2021.
Nearing its 3rd event, the Summit on Gender Equality in Computing (GEC), organized by the Greek ACM-W Chapter, has been established as an international initiative aiming at promoting gender-equal access to the computer-related scientific frontiers. The Greek ACM-W Chapter is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for hosting and chairing the GEC Summit in 2022, 2023 and/or 2024.
We invite expressions of interest from our members, either from academia and/or organizations. Candidate institutions must have the ability to host a one-day event and will be assisting the Greek ACM-W Chapter by proposing the summit venue, managing supporting services (catering, reception, internet services, etc.), identifying sponsorship opportunities, engaging with the local community and press, and other. The preferred dates for the event are Fridays, in either the month of June or July.

The deadline to submit expressions of interest is June 30, 2021.
Upon receipt of the EOI, the GEC Steering Committee will review and determine those EOIs that will be moved forward, and request from bidders to provide further budget and organizational detail.
The GEC 2022 host will be expected to be present and announce the Summit during the GEC 2021 conference which will be held virtually on July 2, 2021 (https://acmw-gr.acm.org/gec21).
